Wildlife   Watchers Summer Day Camps provide hands-on learning experiences for children ages 6-11 at the beautiful Mill of Kintail Conservation Area in Almonte, Ontario. 

• The Mill of Kintail is a 154 acre site, situated along the Indian River, amongst fields and forests comprised of both natural and historic beauty. 

• Each day of camp runs on a specific theme related to the natural environment.

• Campers will have the opportunity to explore plants, wildlife, insects, habitats and water through a variety of games, activities, arts & crafts, songs, stories and so much more!
  

 

• Children experience a nature immersion program, learning the language of nature appreciation, conservation and stewardship.

• Before and After Care costs an additional $10 per camper per day and can be paid daily or weekly at the time of camp. Drop off 7:30 am and pick up 5:00 pm. What to expect at Camp

Lunch & Snacks
Campers will need a lunch as well as  morning and afternoon snacks. Lunches can be kept refrigerated if necessary.

Kit List
Campers should be prepared with their own sunscreen, bug spray, hat, towel, bathing suit, water shoes, and spare set of clothes daily. It is strongly recommended that campers wear shoes they can be active in.   Running shoes are suggested.

Rainy Days
Camp will run rain or shine.  Campers should be prepared with rubber boots and raincoats on inclement days.  The Education Centre and the Gatehouse are available to accommodate weather conditions.

Special Needs
Children with special needs are welcome to participate.  We ask that they be accompanied by a facilitator to accommodate their needs.

Staff
Wildlife Watchers Day Camp is run by experienced outdoor educators who are trained in First Aid & CPR.

Waivers
Parents/Guardians must sign a liability waiver on the first day of camp.
