Stewardship
Landowner Advisory Services (LAS) is a land management resource program offered by MVC. It provides an opportunity for watershed landowners and MVC to meet and work toward mutual goals for the good of the environment and the landowner. This land management based initiative helps land owners access professional land management advice through the conservation authority on a variety of topics such as forest, wetland and habitat management for private, commercial, agricultural and recreational land uses.

Planning
Extensive land management needs and solutions can be detailed in a written summary.  This report advises the landowner of the options available and provides a guide to getting started.

Referrals
Numerous public and private organizations provide land management services to landowners. Once an initial assessment is made and landowner needs are determined, MVC can refer clients to the appropriate organization(s) to best meet those needs.

Many thanks to these organizations for their support of the MVC Landowner Advisory Services program: Eastern Ontario Model Forest, Ontario Woodlot Association, Community Stewardship Council of Lanark County and Conservation Ontario.
