| Flood Advisory Update-TERMINATION - April 9 |

Mississippi Valley Conservation (MVC) is terminating the FLOOD ADVISORY issued April 6, 2009. Flows in the Mississippi River and all major tributaries have peaked and in most areas have started to recede. Barring any significant rainfall over the next week to 10 days no further flooding is expected at this time. No further updates will be issued regarding this flood advisory. Parents are advised to continue to remind their children to stay away from ditches, creeks and rivers as water temperatures are still very cold and, coupled with fast moving water, extremely dangerous. Daily water levels and flows are available on the MVC website at www.mvc.on.ca. |
