Watershed Conditions Bulletin March 21, 2007 Flows in the rivers, creeks and ditches will begin to increase quickly with the warmer weather and the precipitation forecast for the next few days. No significant flooding is expected at this time, however, low lying areas historically prone to flooding and smaller creeks may experience some flooding. Parents are reminded that spring flows pose a considerable threat to all children as flows can increase significantly in short periods of time and water temperatures are just above freezing. Please keep children away from watercourses and ditches. Anyone venturing onto ice covered waterways should use extreme caution. Updates will be issued if the conditions change. Updates are always available on the Mississippi Valley Conservation website, www.mvc.on.ca, by clicking the Advisory Status link.
