WATERSHED CONDITIONS BULLETIN
May 18, 2006 As a result of significant rainfall over the past week, water levels throughout the Mississippi River watershed have increased. While significant flooding of property is not expected, residents in low lying areas or those that have installed removable docks are advised to remove or secure anything along the shoreline and keep a close watch on levels over the next week. Levels on Dalhousie Lake are expected to increase by another 25 to 35 cm over the weekend bringing conditions on that lake to near normal spring flood conditions. Water levels on Mississippi Lake are expected to increase 10 to 15 cm over the weekend. This bulletin is based on current conditions and will be updated if necessary as rainfall is in the forecast for the next few days.
